Management

The Supervisory Board has 18 members and the Board 12 members representing the following organizations:

  • The Commission for Church Employers (KiT)
  • The Commission for Local Authority Employers (KT)
  • The Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK)
  • The Federation of Acricultural Employers (MTA)
  • The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK)
  • The Confederation of Unions for Academic Professionals (AKAVA)
  • The Finnish Confederation of Salaried Employees (STTK)

The Supervisory Board

The functions of the Supervisory Board include among other things to confirm the Fund’s budget and closing of accounts, appoint the Board and make a proposition to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health concerning the amount of unemployment insurance contributions.

The Council of State appoints the members of the Fund’s Supervisory Board, following the proposals by the social partners.

In 2013, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board is Mikko Mäenpää (STTK) and the Vice Chairman George Berner (EK).

The Board

The function of the Board is to prepare the Fund’s budget and to decide on the investment of its assets.

The Supervisory Board appoints the members of the Fund’s Board, following the proposals by the social partners.

In 2013, the Chairman of the Board is Jukka Ahtela (EK) and the Vice Chairman Nikolas Elomaa (SAK).
